Les Dames d’Escoffier NY Chapter Presents

Saturday, September 28, 2019
Depart by Coach Bus at 9:00 AM, return to New York City by 9:30 PM
Members $135 / Guests $155

Spend a day in Ghent—in the heart of New York’s Hudson Valley—with independent non-profit global certifier, A Greener World (AGW), which will provide a backstage pass to the farmers, animals and food label experts at the forefront of sustainable, regenerative agriculture. Visit with Mimi Beaven, owner of Made in Ghent Farm + Café, where you will enjoy a tour of the small family farm and a delicious handmade brunch. Wander over to Grazin’ Angus Acres, where former hospitality executive turned farmer, Dan Gibson, will take you on a pasture walk and tour of his beef farm. Learn how to find meat, dairy and eggs that really make a difference. Be prepared to learn the true meaning of “going green” where the real experts will demystify overused and misused claims such as “grass-fed”, “pasture-raised”, and “humanely-raised”. The day will end with a delicious meal at Grazin’ Diner.

Ticket price includes:

  • Transportation from NYC to Hudson, and throughout day to various locations. Depart by  Coach Bus at 9:00 AM and return to New York City by 9:30 PM. (Meet the bus on 42nd Street across the street from Port Authority Terminal at 8:45 AM.)
